Why Every Chicago Business Needs Commercial Backup Generators

Blackouts happen fast in Chicago. Ice storms, aging infrastructure, and grid overloads hit harder here. Without power, you lose customers, productivity, and money.

That’s why commercial backup generators are a smart move—they keep your lights on and your business open.

Commercial Generator Installation Services

Generator Sizing, Brands & Custom Installation

We start with a full load assessment to get the commercial generator sizing right. Too small and your system fails. Too big and you waste money. We install Generac commercial generators, Kohler commercial generators, and more, based on what fits your needs. Whether it’s a generator for a commercial building or multiple large commercial generators, we handle it.

Many facilities that add a commercial generator also invest in commercial lighting installation for better after-hours safety and operations.

Automatic Transfer Switches & Seamless Integration

Our systems include automatic transfer switches for instant power transfer. That means no downtime, no confusion—just business as usual. We install new systems or retrofit into existing setups, always meeting code. Our goal is seamless power when the grid goes down.

Permitting, Code Compliance & Inspections

We manage every permit, inspection, and city requirement. No missed steps. No delays. Our licensed team works directly with Chicago’s inspectors so your commercial generator installation goes live without issues. We make it easy from start to finish.

Marcelino and Daniel/Danny were amazing electricians to work with. They communicated everything clearly, from the beginning arrival time to each step of their process here. They kept me updated during their install and we had such a pleasant chat rather than a purely transactional experience. I would never choose another set of electricians to work with after this - if you get a request, ask for Marcelino and Danny you wont regret it.

Highly recommend Eddie and Mr Mighty Electric. Very fast to respond online to book an appointment, I had an initial visit from a technician within 5 days, and the work completed within 7 days. Eddie and Dan were highly professional, good at explaining what they were doing and why, and worked independently - will be using them again in the future.

Eddie Morales Jr was the electrician sent by Mr Mighty Electric. He is fantastic! Very capable and polite. Super honest as well. He identified the problem as minor and quickly fixed it. The day before another electrician had proposed major and expensive repairs to fix the same issue.

Came out same day, were able to diagnose the problem, and ordered a new electrical panel for me. Ed the electrician and the customer service reps, were professional and friendly.

(Update) Ed came and installed the new electrical panel. Power has been restored to my AC and kitchen appliances. Great and professional service. Thanks!
